Ah, is nice to walk through DC streets again with short skirt, boots, and long winter jacket.

Just got back from bookstore for textbooks, and was faced with $696.56 charge for textbooks. Hate world of college textbooks. Is massive, rip-off, forcing students into debt slavery and indentured servitude. Only have FOUR books total, THREE of which are used (ugh. Students and their excessive highlighting) and am still spending more than would in eight weeks in basic food and living expenses. Sigh, oh well.

Note about Inauguration craziness: Girls puncturing designer leather purses with Obama pins. Alarming!

PLAN: Martha Stewart Show + Pilates, vacuum, lunch, work at honors office, Trader Joe's to stock up for Inauguration Apocalypse, snack, cardio, snack, ironing, dinner, group fitness staff meeting, homework, sleep. Hurrah!

Drat! Stupid press conference is on. Drat drat drat!!! Hate it when Martha Stewart Show is shoved aside for trivial presidential press conferences. Country needs to get its priorities straight.

Oooh. Is Bush's last press conference. Hmm.

Am hearing about closed roads, incoming droves, etc... plus found hilarious metro video. Definitely must stock up with groceries.

Have successfully returned from Trader Joe's, and have groceries to last self through Inauguration Apocalypse. On way to store, was stopped by man who introduced himself as a DC attorney, and who insisted I should become a model in magazines because I looked "very slim and European." I assured Attorney Man that I had plans on entering the magazine industry, but more on the writing / copy writing / photography side. He wanted to meet for lunch or dinner, so I gave him my bogus alias email so that I may proceed with my foraging expedition, and will politely decline to answer any messages.

Was quite confused about being stopped in street, as wasn't carrying bags of cupcakes, but then realized short skirt / long jacket outfit stood out amongst the layered ensembles everyone else has on. Will take proper action to correct mistake.
