So in my consumer behavior class, we have been assigned group projects in which we will conduct primary and secondary research on some sort of behavioral pattern. We could choose pretty much any topic, and one of my group members suggested we study the characteristics and motives of people who go to tanning salons.
Man, I am SO excited about this. Artificial tanning is such a foreign concept to me, and whenever I hear about it,
I immediately think of the Kogals, Ganguro, and Yamanba of Japan.
What a fascinating social phenomenon!
Americans' tanning habits are way more subdued, but I am sure they are no less interesting. I cannot wait to find out more!
Goodness gracious, I am glad to be a marketing major.
